Our BAKE!-cations® are the ultimate experience for the home baker! We guide you through a comprehensive education in baking techniques in a fun, exciting, relaxed and always hands-on classroom full of good humor and expert instruction. Your BAKE!-cation® includes breakfast and lunch everyday, and you'll need an empty suitcase to bring home all the great food you've made!

Join us for an action packed two-day baking getaway! Together we'll make some of our favorite pastries including Lemon Poppy Seed Coffee Cake, New York Cheesecake, Sugar Crisp Muffins, Puff Pastry, Cheese Straws, Pecan Diamonds, Dobos Torta, Cake Doughnuts, Cheddar Herb Scones, Pate a Choux, Éclairs, and Lemon Merenga Tart.

Parents drop off the kids for some hands-on learning & fun, then pick them up and head home to enjoy a dinner they made! We know these valuable kitchen skills will come in handy for years to come and inspire a new generation of bakers and cooks.

Day 1
Quiche with cheddar & caramelized onions, Crusty hard rolls and herb butter, and chocolate sable cookie. Learn these advanced skills: mixing pie dough, bread shaping and scoring, and stovetop cooking.

Day 2
Chicken Pot Pie, Mixed green salad with sliced cucumbers, carrot roses, ranch dressing and homemade croutons, and
Whole wheat chocolate chip cookie. Learn advanced skills: stovetop cooking, forming pie dough, and knife skills.

Day 3
Fresh Linguine pasta with Marinara sauce, Focaccia bread with parmesan and rosemary, and Pignoli (pine nut) cookies. Learn advanced skills: pasta dough rolling and cutting, stovetop cooking, and bread shaping.

Day 4
Biscuits and Home-made sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, fruit salad, and summer fruit cobbler.
Learn advanced skills: homemade sausage, stovetop cooking, and knife skills.

Day 5
Urfa Turkey Chili, cheesy cornbread and cupcakes. Learn advanced skills: stovetop cooking and working with a yeasted bread dough.

In this class, you’ll taste just how good American breads can be. You’ll learn how we make our tasty Boston Brown bread and tender biscuits; discover a 100% whole wheat bread so sweet, Bakehouse founder Frank Carollo named it after his daughter Margaret; and bake our tasty, slightly sweet Northern style cornbread. Has your child already been to our basic camp or has a flair for baking at home? In this class we'll cover a variety of baking techniques including shaping doughs, knife skills, and a little decorating. You’ll make soft pretzels and cheese dip, brioche bread, fruit danish, chicken noodle soup (make your own noodles and practice knife skills), Bakehouse white bread, Angel Food cake, a buttercream decorated cake, New York style pizza, oatcakes, baguettes, grissini (crispy breadsticks), Sky’s the Lemon Cookie, and Gimme S’more tarts with torched meringue. This half day camp week also includes a tour of Zingerman's Bakehouse.

Learn Zingerman's Bakehouse's traditional French baguette recipe in one of our best classes for new bakers. Most commercial bread labeled “baguette” bears no resemblance to the traditional French bread that Parisian bakers first developed around 1920. When a law went into effect forbidding them from starting to work before 4 a.m., they began baking the long thin loaves that are synonymous with French baking today. We teach you to make the traditional French baguette recipe—starting with a flavorful poolish, hand rolling your dough, and ending with a very crisp crust surrounding a soft, holey interior. Imagine serving breakfast to out-of-town guests and bringing out a perfect baguette that they swear must have been airlifted from Paris.

Learn these versatile recipes for Southern Italian semolina pasta and Northern Italian egg pasta, as well as classic marinara sauce. We'll also demonstrate making a fresh pesto sauce. You’ll get hands-on practice with various pasta rolling and shaping techniques. These can be the inspiration for all the pasta creations you can dream up at home.
