Seoul via Roma is a celebration of Italian and Korean flavors, with both regions deeply rooted in regional cooking and seasonality. From the ancient Roman garum fish sauce, to the treatment of abundant vegetables through the seasons, Ji Hye found pieces of home while abroad!

When Chef Ji Hye was at the Rome Sustainable Food Project in Italy, she realized that Roman home cooking was surprisingly similar to Korean home cooking. The desire to play and build on this realization has stuck with her since! Introducing Seoul via Roma: a special dinner that has brought this desire to life.

This dinner will feature local ingredients and the best Parmigiano Reggiano! Intrigued and hungry for a delicious night, paired with wine and great conversations about culture, people, and tradition? Check out the menu below!

-Cazzimperio (Roman crudites, served with extra virgin olive oil and creamy ssamjang)
-Crostini con burro e alici (soy butter and anchovy crostini)
-Stracciatella alla romana (Roman egg drop soup)
-Spaghetti alla carbonara with American bacon, slow roasted pork belly, poached egg, doenjang and parmiggiano reggiano
-Pollo alla Romana (braised chicken in tomatoes, peppers, and gochujang)
-Celery and winter green salad, puntarelle style
-Swiss chard ripassata with rice, miso and ginger
