Make Conchas (brioche covered with a lightly sweet sea shell-like top) and cochinitos de piloncillo (pig shaped soft cookies sweetened with spiced sugar cane syrup). Join our cheesemongers for a delicious evening of all things grilled & smoked! We’ll talk about the history and reasons that cheeses have been smoked and grill throughout the years and guests will sample some of our favorite cheeses that have been either smoked or grilled. Brownies are easy even without a box mix, but you really can taste the difference when you make them with great ingredients. We’ll make four different varieties including our very own Magic Brownie (called one of the top 20 recipes of all time by Midwest Living magazine), a fudgy brownie, BuenosAires Brownies with dulce de leche caramel and Pecan Blondies. After tasting all of these brownies you’ll leave feeling magical.

The secret is out! Learn the recipe for Zingerman's signature sour cream coffee cake with ribbons of cinnamon brown sugar and toasted walnuts. In class you’ll also make a couple other cakes near and dear to us, the lovely olive oil and citrus cake and rich almond pound cake. These are sure to be a treasured recipe in your house for years to come!

Sail ashore and conquer the mysterious and rich world of danish dough. You will learn the techniques for laminating rich dough with butter,make your own dough in class, and create hand-shaped danish (almond-filled bear claws, pinwheels, and pockets filled with cream cheese or fruit), each surrounded by the rich tender flaky dough that makes a good danish. Oh so delicious!
