Brioche is one of the most satisfyingly rich breads in the world. The scent of butter will fill the room when you learn how to make brioche dough, shape it and bake it to perfection. We’ll show you how versatile this dough is by making a traditional round tête shape, chocolate-filled brioche rolls, a savory brioche roll filled with sausage, and a sweet loaf called Craquelin, the national bread of Belgium! You'll get plenty of hands-on practice in class with mixing, kneading and proofing yeasted doughs. We'll also demonstrate "bee sting" cake. You gotta try it!

Join Jae Gerhart to unpack the ins and outs of the local food supply chain in southeast Michigan. We’ll discuss farm-to institution and the many organizations working to keep the food dollarsspent in Michigan for Michigan farmers as well as the various mid-level processors and distributors needed to help move southeast-Michigan produced food-products from farm to cafeteria or grocery store. Her talkwill also beaccompanied by a light brown bag meal.

Hot diggity dog, it’s the Sundae Social! Featuring a Sundae bar & Hot Dog bar! You double-dog-dared us to host more of these events, so by popular demand, we’ve got four lined up for you save-the-dates! Our Next Door sweet treat experts will help you make a custom-designed sundae featuring gelato from Zingerman’s Creamery and fabulous toppings like house-made chocolate syrup, cookie crumbles from Zingerman’s Bakehouse, or peanut brittle from Zingerman’s Candy Manufactory. Our kids area and patio will be open and will have extra special fun activities to add to the party festivities. The fun will also include fun activities for kids of all ages. PLUS, relish the chance to deck out your dog with condiments such as: diced onions, dill relish, spicy mustard, The Brinery sauerkraut, crushed potato chips, bacon and more!

Free to attend; Gelato Sundaes and hot dogs for purchase. No reservation required. Open-house style –come for part or the entire event. Either way, make sure to bring your sweet tooth!

Nestor, a supervisor in the Deli’s kitchen, explored the chile farms and regional cuisines of Albuquerque and Santa Fe, which inspired this delicious brunch. Join us for tasty bites, breakfast bowls and a salsa bar. A weekend event not to miss!
